After seven years at ProMotor, three years at Waterkampioen and ten years at Op Pad, it is time for Gijs to go Walkabout!
Those twenty years as a petrol head, boat enthusiast and outdoor geek – ok, technical editor – at ANWB have flown by. My top four of my favorite articles? The test of motor jeans in 1997, the Ships in ‘Box 13′ in 2003, the ascent of Mont Blanc for charity in 2009 and the Christmas and New Year Video of 2015. I have done beautiful things and the ANWB gave me all the opportunities I could wish for and I am grateful! My last test as employee of the ANWB and Op Pad is the test of handheld GPS devices for Op Pad 2, 2016. After this I am going to do ‘nothing’ for a few days – will be a daunting task – and then prepare myself for what’s coming. What it is … the head is buzzing as ever and I’ll keep you posted!
